"Sometimes I Feel Like Cryin’" (RCA, 1962) is one of Odetta´s finest albums. This bluesy masterpiece marked her first album for RCA Victor, and featured a superlative blues sound and repertoire influenced by blues pioneers like Bessie Smith and Blind Lemon Jefferson. While there is a distinct folk feel to some of the material, all of it is injected with the blues. Odetta’s voice was ideal for the slow, weighty blues of the 1920s, and she made the material her own, with no attempt at re-creation.

Thank you, haven't seen this one before.
Hope you enjoy it. All the best!
This is fantastic, thank you. I had not seen it before. Any chance you have the album Odetta Sings (1970) - her only album on Polydor? A bit of an odd one - songs by Elton John, Randy Newman, etc., but great all the same.
You are welcome! I will post "Odetta sings" in a few days. Best wishes!
That's great! Thank you so much. I had the privilege of seeing Odetta in concert at the amazing Hackney Empire theatre in London, many years ago. Fabulous singer ...
Wow, that´s surely was a great experience. All the best!
Dear Sir, restore?
