Various Artists - Lehrlinge halten zusammen (Pläne, 1971)

Let us celebrate Labor Day with an album of socialist propaganda songs from 1960s and 1970s West Germany. The compilation "Lehrlinge halten zusammen" ("Apprentices stick together") was released in 1969 on the Pläne label and has never been officially reissued.

Most of the lyrics - by artists like Floh de Cologne, Conrads, Münchner Songgruppe, Interpol and others - are pointing out the exploitation of apprentices by evil capitalists, and the virtues of organized resistance against the system. The back cover contains a summary of Karl Marx's position on the question of youth in capitalistic societies, in six easily digestable points.
